Rangers today kicked off their pre-season preparations with an energetic 1-0 win at Palmerston against Queen of the South.
A healthy crowd paid tribute to veteren Jim Thomson at his well deserved Testimonial. Rangers started with the strongest possible 11 and took the lead through a Kenny Miller goal in the second half An injury to the Doon Hamers number 1 Roddy McKenzie meant Neil Alexander got a useful 45 minutes in the second half...in goal for Queens! The second half also seen a number of Rangers substitutions giving valuable game time to some of the younger squad members who will want to play an important part in this coming season.
