Disabled Supporters Association
In the early sixties, a group of Invalid Drivers, got together and formed the Rangers Disabled Supporters Club.

Our main objective was to gain access to away grounds. This was quite a task as at that time there were far more teams in the league, most of which did not have facilities for invalid cars. We were successful at most grounds and in those where we were not allowed access in our Invalid cars we obtained permission to use the track. around the playing field.

The Disabled Club continued until Rangers redeveloped Ibrox, at which point Rangers F.C. approached us with a view to forming a new and recognised organisation. As a result, the present Club was formed in 1980 based in the Pearce Institute, Govan. At that time we had 42 members with facilities in Ibrox for 26 Wheelchairs. Members were therefore able to attend 2 out of 3 matches.

This arrangement continued until the West Enclosure was redeveloped. At this point, Rangers kindly granted Complimentary Season Tickets to all members, including those on the waiting list. The season tickets allowed access to all matches at Ibrox. Our Club has been so successful that we have, at present, had to close applications for membership. We are currently discussing this situation with Rangers Football Club and hope to be in a position to make an announcement in the near future.
